PID sensors
Be on the safe side: Many explosive hazardous substances are toxic for humans, at levels markedly below the LEL (Lower Explosive Limit) and cannot be detected at these levels by using only catalytic sensors. Reliable detection of such substances in the ppm range is accomplished using photoionization detectors (PIDs).
Product benefits
- Perfect protection by means of simultaneous monitoring
- Optimum protection is best provided if the area is monitored for explosive gases using catalytic or infrared sensors and the toxic atmosphere is simultaneously monitored with a PID sensor. Both sensing systems can be integrated into the proven and reliable Dräger X-am 7000.
- Wide range of application
- PID sensors are suitable for many different applications, e.g. arson investigations, monitoring work in shafts, closed rooms and confined spaces, leak and decontamination checks and controls, checking sterilisation work and many more.
- Robust design (in combination with Dräger X-am 7000)
- When integrated into the Dräger X-am 7000, the PID sensors represent a robust tool suitable for difficult applications. The sensors are protected by water-repellent membranes.
