- Very robust design
- The Dräger X-am 7000 is IP67 rated and as such is protected against dust and dirt penetration and also water. As standard, a rubber casing protection safeguards the device against damages even in the event of a fall from a height of 1.5mtrs. Shock-resistant sensors provide accurate and precise measurement results.
- Tried and tested Dräger sensor technology
- Dräger sensors are a tried and tested technology with a wide range of Electrochemical sensors, Catalytic, Infrared and Photo Ionisation Detector (PID) sensors available. Providing premium performance and in some cases guaranteed long sensor life times are provided. These Dräger sensors will allow for a flexible adjustment to individual measuring tasks and detection work. The Dräger X-am 7000 can be equipped with three electrochemical and two of any combination of infrared, catalytic sensors and/or photoionization detectors (PID).
- Optional, integrated high-performance pump
- A built-in high-performance pump draws in the gas to be measured through a hose of up to 45 m length. The pump is continuously monitored for blockages.
- Unlimited sensor adjustment
- The wide selection range of more than 25 different Dräger sensors allows the detection of more than 100 gases and vapors. Furthermore, while using the Ex and IR sensors it is possible to change the measurement range of the sensor and the gas to be measured. This allows the flexibly to adjust the device to changing applications and operations.
- Individual user guidance
- The software menu of the Dräger X-am 7000 offers many individual options by hiding and showing menu items and allows for the personalisation of a quick menu. Additionally, it is also possible to fast query the full scale concentration as well as the operating limit values TWA and STEL values.
- Long-term run-time
- The intelligent load management ensures the full functional performance of the Dräger X-am 7000. Optionally available is also a high-performance storage battery, capable of providing an operating period of up to 20 hours, or an alkaline power pack.

Be on the safe side: Many explosive hazardous substances are toxic for humans, at levels markedly below the LEL (Lower Explosive Limit) and cannot be detected at these levels by using only catalytic sensors. Reliable detection of such substances in the ppm range is accomplished using photoionization detectors (PIDs).
Compact and powerful: The durable Dräger infrared sensors work very accurately and precisely, even in oxygen-free atmospheres and they also have an excellent cost of ownership.
